We are currently revamping our Mission and Evangelism Team, whose purpose is to encourage, equip, and engage the church to pursue the Great Commission, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, locally and to the ends of the earth. When possible, we seek to develop long-term, strategic partnerships with churches and pastors. Currently, Northside is looking to partner with some local ministries. We also partner with the South Union Mount Zion Baptist Association in Kentucky. Internationally, our student ministry takes a mission trip to Ecuador through a partnership with Lifeway every two years.
As a Southern Baptist Church, Northside also partners with more than 35,000 other SBC churches to fulfill the Great Commission both here at home and around the world. By pooling resources through the Cooperative Program, Southern Baptists are able to…
- Maintain the largest evangelical missionary force in the world with more than 10,000 missionaries. (www.imb.org; www.namb.net)
- Operate the third largest disaster relief organization in the world. (www.namb.net/dr )
- Ensure the education of the next generation of leaders through 6 seminaries and dozens of colleges and universities. (www.sbts.edu, www.sebts.edu, www.swbts.edu, www.nobts.edu, www.mabts.edu, www.ggbts.edu)
Northside is a member of the Western Baptist Association – a group of 50+ like-minded congregations throughout Coweta, Fayette, Fulton, Heard, Meriwether, and Troup Counties. (www.wbachurches.org)
